The Ogura Foundry begins manufacturing rolls.

1918

The Doyama Foundry begins manufacturing rolls.

1936

Komatsu Jukuren Industry Co., Ltd.
Established and began operations as Japan's first cast roll manufacturer.

1938

Company name changed to Kanto Special Steel Works, Ltd.

1942

Roll casting and roll processing factories begin operations in Nakabaru, Tobata Ward.

1952

Cast iron roll manufacturing begins.

1957

Ductile roll manufacturing begins.

Centrifugal casting machine installed.

2006

The casting roll business of Kantoc Roll, Ltd. was integrated, and the company name was changed to Nittetsu Sumikin Rolls Co., Ltd.

2012

Due to the merger of Nippon Steel Corporation and Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd., the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation.

2019

Company name changed to 'Nippon Steel Rolls Corporation' in line with the name change of its parent company.
